Governor Greg Abbott has issued the "shelter-in-place" order to all Texans unless they have to perform essential services and activities. What does this mean?
It means that everyone who doesn't provide essential services (i.e., front-line responders to the COVID-19 pandemic and emergency and public safety personnels) MUST stay home. If you need to run essential errands (e.g., grocery shopping, picking up medicines, etc.), try to minimize the number of trips or use online delivery or curb-side pick-up when available. Elderly people or people who have serious underlying medical conditions -need to use extra precaution or seek help from neighbors and/or local organizations in your area.
